18 high-res images of the MV Agusta Brutale 1090R

We told you about the MV Agusta Brutale 1090R way back in April — it sticks their biggest engine into their cheapest, MIG-welded frame — but these are the first images of it. The 1078cc engine makes the same 144bhp it does in the €16,000 1090RR, but the single-R knocks that price down to €13,990. No word on US price or availability. :continue:

2011 MV Agusta Brutale 1090R: cheap compensation

The MV Agusta Brutale 990R that we reviewed last month has one big problem — it’s a premium product with a premium badge selling at a premium price, but it’s got a smaller engine than its even more premium identical twin, the 1090RR. Less numbers and fewer Rs do not satisfy customers of exotic motorcycles in North America. The solution, at least in Canada? Stick the big motor in the 990R’s chassis. Voila, a bigger number at a more affordable price.

Update: the 1090R adopts the cheaper, MIG-welded frame and components of the MV Agusta Brutale 920, not that of the TIG-welded, higher spec 990 as we previously reported.
