The Isle of Man, Hailwood, Agostini, Pasolini, Williams, Blanchard, Uphill, Honda, MV Agusta, Benelli, Matchless, Seeley, Norton, even Vincent. Pre-race interviews with impeccable legends Geoff Duke and Stanley Woods and a post-race interview with Hailwood. The footage is a little murky, the commentary by perfectly cheeky Murray Walker is fantastically paced and suspenseful, and the sounds of the machines are glorious. Imagine if the upcoming Moto2 class went inline 4-stroke but kept the 250 Grand Prix displacement, added two more cylinders, forced all the riders to wear really cool jet-black suits with no logos and raced on real roads again. Since that’ll never happen, Honda has at least been consoling enough to give us a new ringtone. This time it’s Mike Hailwood flogging his insane inline 6-cylinder RC166 works race bike, considered by many to be the acme of 1960′s Grand Prix prototype engineering. Well, okay. NCR 30th anniversary Mike Hailwood TT racer just $130k

NCR has given a preview of their amazing NCR Mike Hailwood TT at the Salone del Ciclo e Motociclo di Milano, and we couldn’t be more jealous we’re not there. Built in honor of the 30th anniversary of Mike the Bike’s Isle of Man win on the Ducati 900 NCR, the new limited edition version is a stunningly light 136 kg — 41kg lighter that the Sport 1000S it’s based on — thanks to a titanium chassis and exhaust. The fully adjustable rear sets, clip-on tubes, fuel cap, valves, connecting rods and all fasteners also happen to be titanium.
