BMW S1000RR Carbon Edition: we want what the Dutch are smoking
With 183hp at the wheel and starting at just $13,800, the BMW S1000RR is shaping up to be the hottest liter bike of 2010. The lucky dutch are getting an even hotter version, this BMW S1000RR Carbon Edition is equipped with carbon fiber fairings; all the DTC, ABS and alarm options boxes ticked; HP rearsets, brake and clutch levers and an Akrapovic exhaust canister. Of course, all that adds up to a much higher sticker price, increasing from €17,990 to €24,990. No word on availability outside the Netherlands yet. On a completely unrelated note, check out the huge effect adding a full Akrapovic system has on the mid-range torque curve of the S1000RR’s DOHC, 16-valve, 999cc inline-four.

A rear tire?
Wow.. that is beautiful!
Yummmmmm!!!
Quick question; Is that a catalytic convertor on the akra “full” system? Is this to appeal the Euro3/Euro4 emissions gods? If so, could more greenhouse unfriendly power be available from a race exhaust with out the catbox on the mid-pipe?
Can we have a picture up here of the Aprillia rsv r with an akra pipe? Both fantasy candy, I have no reason what-so-ever to upgrade from my current 1000, but still tempted too.
Good year to be a biker.
I don’t think that’s the full Akra system pictured, just the can. Here’s a shot of the RSV4 with a LeoVince pipe, which looks really nice.

How about Fantasy Candy on her bike?
Badass.
I can’t get over the uppity monocle looking head light.
i like how the akrapovich system smooths the torque delivery a bit which is pretty important on a potential race/track bike
That’s a very pretty bike.. Has the face of Colonel Klink though with that monicle design theme
I like the blog, but could not find how to subscribe to receive the updates by email. Can you please let me know?
