2010 MV Agusta F4: less power, more weight, same looks

Oops, didn’t do my math right the first time. Turns out that, like the 2010 MV Agusta Brutale, the 2010 MV Agusta F4 is heavier and less powerful than the model it replaces. Also like that new Brutale, it looks nearly identical to the previous generation too. What the fuck?

According to MV Agusta, the 2008 F4 1078 RR 312 made 190bhp at 12,200rpm and 91.5lb/ft of torque at 8,200rpm. That bike weighed 192kg/423.3lbs (dry). Official data for the new model states that it makes 186bhp at 12,900rpm and 84lb/ft at 9,500rpm. This new bike weighs 192.5kg/424.4lbs (dry). Not a huge difference, but that’s hardly the kind of progress we’d expect from a megabuck exotic. Official spiel below. >
