KTM RC8 R McWilliams replica gains flashy paint, race kit

KTM_RC8_R_McWilliams.jpgThe KTM RC8 R McWilliams replica is being released in an edition of 100 track-only units. Based on the KTM RC8 R, it's fitted with the Club Racer kit; the Akropovic full system and high lift cams bring power up to 180bhp, on par with the Ducati 1098R. McWilliams races a similar bike in the IDM German Superbike Championship.

Why are they not entering this bike in WSBK?

Or even DMG AMA Superbike, seems to follow the same vein as the Buell.

Good to know that old dog McWilliams is still out there racing!

He may never had made the big paydays, but he has managed to eke out a respectable career in motorsport. Way to go.

Can't afford it.

KTM cut funding for nearly everything this year. Even to the point where the whole company was going part-time so that they would retain talent/skilled employees instead of mass layoffs.

See more here: "Half of KTM employees go part-time"

That is a fantastic looking superbike.
