Robbie Maddison jumps 96 feet up onto Vegas Arc de Triomphe, injures hand dropping back down

As part of the Red Bull No Limits New Year's Eve 2009 spectacular, Robbie Maddison jumped from ground level onto the 96-foot high Arc de Triomphe replica in Las Vegas. That's pretty impressive, but wait till you see him jump back down. HD video follows the jump.

Conflicting reports state that Robbie either broke or gashed his left hand to the bone sticking the landing. But the important part is that, unlike Rhys Millen's truck flip, he stuck it.

Make sure you check out the large images in the gallery above. Remember, you can enlarge them by clicking them. The multi-exposure, in particular, is amazing.

Evel never dies.

That multi-exposure shot is insane. It looks like he hit that landing ramp really far out and took the impact of that drop all at once. He got really lucky, great trick though.

This was a lot better stunt then the "back-flip" truck.

I got the jitters just watching him ride around on the top of the building hoping he didn't lose sight of the area and ride off by accident. I couldn't sit on a motorcycle on the edge of the building let alone jump on and off the building. Damn.

huevos grande !

I thought downhillers/freeriders were nutty (Josh Bender attempted a 60-foot cliff drop multiple times and failed) but this wins the pot. I'm happy for his success.
