2009 Ducati Monster 1100 spied raiding parts bin

2009 model year bikes are dropping like crazy this week. The latest is the 2009 Ducati Monster 1100, basically a Ducati Monster 696 with the 1100CC DS engine from a Ducati Multistrada. Compared to the 696, the air-cooled 1100 offers 15 more horsepower (95bhp) and 26 more lb/ft of torque (76lb/ft) as well as Y-spoke wheels and a single sided swingarm from the Ducati Hypermotard. Radial front brake and clutch reservoirs, as used on several other models, are also present. Expect the Monster 1100 to be officially unveiled at the 2008 EICMA show in November. We guess this checks one off the list of the 10 new Ducatis by 2010.
