Buell 1125R available in new colors for 2009
For 2009, the Buell 1125R is now available in red, white and black. Other changes include targeted fuel injectors, repositioned o2 sensors (we’re as excited about this as you are), and updated fueling maps, all of which is shared with the Buell 1125CR. All this should add up to improved driveability below 6,000rpm, sharper throttle response, and what Buell is claiming is "significantly improved fuel economy," which now stands at 39mpg city, 53mpg highway. No official figures are available for the 2008 model.
All of this should add up to a faster, better motorcycle, but we're
most excited by the color white. Contrasted with a bright blue
windscreen, badges and wheels, it maintains Buell's trademark bright,
toy-like colors, but here actually manages to make the awkward 1125R
look positively handsome. What a difference a model year makes.Buell

After looking at these pictures I was about to say that I am really starting to like this bike. You beat me to it.
Totally, I'm really looking forward to riding one.
Pictures are worth a thousand words, but they still can't replace looking at it in person. Ick. Balloon-head.
I think I kinda got sold on the bike when I
interviewd Erik Buell. Sports tourer comfort from the riding position and fairing combined with a race winning chassis and engine just sounds great to me, and the looks are at least different. It just desperately needs to loose the Batman and Robin exhaust.
Not bad but looks like a Sperm Cell.
if anyone ever decides to start making bobblehead bikes, buell will be way ahead of the game with the 1125r.
Just bought a black one today in Auckland. I test drove one and fell in love with the ugly beast! Comes with spare underpants!
I currently ride a 2007 Buell XB12S Lightning and it's a really fun bike. I now have a 2009 1125R on the way to my dealer and really looking forward to picking it up when it arrives. I'm sure it's going to be even more of a thrill ride.
