RXV Dakar brings Aprilia to rally racing

Aprilia_RXV_dakar.jpgThis Aprilia RXV 4.5 was modified to compete in this year’s Dakar rally before the race was cancelled due to security concerns. Designed by Bart van den Bogaard, the modifications significantly boost the Aprilia’s ability without fundamentally altering its design. Created with help from Aprilia Netherlands, Henk Knuiman has been able to ride the RXV Dakar to some success in subsequent, less important rallies.
