Details: Noriyuki Haga's Yamaha R1 exhaust
The technical detail and beauty of this exhaust system from Noriyuki Haga’s SBK R1 is fascinating. Constructed of titanium by Akrapovic, the system starts out as four individual pipes with a diameter of 45mm before ending up as two, with diameters of 58 and 60mm. Also of note are the four individual lambda sensors, which enable Haga’s Yamaha Motor Italia technicians to monitor and control the fuel/air mixture in each cylinder in real time, a technology hitherto only found in MotoGP.
