2009 Yamaha TMAX launched in USA

We told you the 2009 Yamaha TMAX would be coming stateside a couple of weeks ago, but now the company has been nice enough to confirm that. The TMAX will be available in yellow or blue, starts at $7,999 and gets 47mpg. The 499cc parallel twin is mated to a CVT transmission, meaning you can ride single-singled handed up to its maximum speed of about 110mph. 15-inch wheels and a new sportsbike-style aluminum frame keep everything stable, and, if our experience with the old model is anything to go by, it’ll handle extremely well. Sales start in July.
