Rossi debuts new helmet at Mugello

A reinvigorated Valentino Rossi broke Mugello’s Saturday record by eight-tenths of a second earlier today, claiming his first pole position of the season and first on Bridgestone tires. Rossi will be trying for his seventh consecutive win at his home track tomorrow. Since the five-time World Champion always seems do best when he’s having fun, it’s fitting that he chose today to unveil a new helmet design that features a headshot of him screaming. Of course, the helmet will also provide television cameras something to focus on as the rider goes through his pre-race rituals, which include closing his visor and not talking to anyone.
