Buell Ulysses Police brings practicality to patrol bikes

Buell_Ulysses_Police_XB12XP.jpgBuell is hoping its new Ulysses Police XB12XP will make the perfect patrol bike, offering officers a fast, practical and American-made alternative to the traditional Harley. Bearing the Government's need to appear like it actually cares about its citizens by buying American in mind, we can't think of a better-suited motorcycle for police duties. The Ulysses is all-day comfortable on-road, has plenty of storage capacity with the optional luggage set, and offers unparalleled vision with its elevated riding position. While it's not great off-road, the big Buell is good on bad surfaces and will offer its riders the ability to tackle inclement weather or dirt roads with ease. The lights- and siren-equipped Ulysses will be available to order from any Buell dealer.

Good on Buell. I would much rather one of these than just about any other cop bike I have seen. I wonder what the price difference (purchase and maintenance) is between these and the BMWs they now use here in soCal....

Probably a significant difference in cost. The declining dollar has not been kind to our German-importing friends.
