Desmorosso: wine by Ducati

desmorosso_ducati_wine.jpgDucati has launched its own brand of wine, Desmorosso. It’s a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with a tiny bit of Carménère thrown in for character. Exclusively available online in boxes of six for €168, it’s described as “soft, balanced and pleasantly enveloping, with notable persistence, character and strong personality,” characteristics that Ducati believes reflect its brand well.

The similarities we see are the insultingly flowery language, failed attempts to convey emotion and the shockingly high price tag on a decidedly pedestrian product. Come on, Ducati, concentrate on what you’re good at: making sexy motorcycles and winning races, not exploiting the obsessive and somewhat gullible nature of your customers.
