Honda readying Suzuka contender

Honda-CBR1000RR-Suzuka.jpgHonda is looking to its new CBR1000RR to reclaim the Suzuka 8 Hours victory from Suzuki. Riders will include Carlos Checa, Ryuichi Kiyonari, Jonathan Rea and Leon Haslam. The annual race, which takes place in July, sees intense competition from the big four Japanese manufacturers, as they bring budget-no-object bikes and teams together in order to claim the prestigious home-turf victory. Until last year's race, when Suzuki won with a GSX-R 1000, Honda had won every year since 1997. An additional image follows the jump.
