Confederate considers return to New Orleans

Confederate Motor Company may be returning to New Orleans, a source connected to it has revealed to us. Confederate is best known for bikes like the Hellcat and Wraith. New Orleans is the spiritual home of Confederate, which left the city after its factory was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina.
According to our source, the company hosted a crawfish boil in the Marigny District last night, announcing its intention to move into a facility there. It’s not clear when such a move would take place, or if the company has yet purchased or signed a lease agreement for the property.
Confederate currently occupies a warehouse in Birmingham, Alabama. It’s not known what impact such a move would have on the company, which distributes its bikes through Birmingham Speed of America Inc.
