500mph jet bike build progresses
Mike Charlton is one step closer to completing his land speed–record motorcycle. The Ohio-based construction worker is hoping to shatter the current record by more than 150mph with the aid of a J-34 jet engine, homegrown ingenuity and a healthy disregard for his own wellbeing. The bodywork's rough form has been completed, which helps make the bike look much more mobile. Even if Charlton doesn't set a new record, at least he'll look fast doing it. Another picture follows the jump. And if you haven’t already, check out the "500mph to Destiny" feature under Front Lines on the left.

a healthy disregard for his wellbeing indeed. Is this thing going to get wheels??
I just want to see what he comes up for his glass canopy. Unless of course, he's thinking that bulging front end will create a big enough air pocket that he doesn't need anything to streamline the cockpit.
wheels are overratred
