2008 Honda CBR1000RR gets the Repsol treatment

2008-Repsol-CBR1000RR.jpgThis Repsol replica is the first custom 2008 Honda CBR1000RR we’ve seen. Painted by Italian firm Tresoldi, it appears on the cover of Motor magazine's latest issue in the Netherlands. We've always liked the Repsol colors and think they look good on the CBR, we just wish they’d left the logo off the windscreen. It detracts from the complementary cut of the red and blue transition lower down on the nose fairing.

But we can't help but feel that race-replica paint schemes have had their day. When are customizers going to start focusing on making their bikes classier instead of louder? If someone let us loose with a spray gun and a CBR1000RR, we'd paint all the bodywork matte white and powder coat the mechanicals gloss black.
