Tucson Véloce 650 is customized correctly

Custom bikes are usually just exercises in styling and poor taste, so it’s refreshing to see a custom build that actually improves upon the performance and looks of the donor bike. Tucson’s Véloce 650 is based on an SV 650, but virtually every part has been changed. Aside from the bodywork, which makes the wimpy-looking SV purposeful and aggressive, our favorite parts are the billet aluminum blocks connecting the engine to the frame and the carbon ram-air inlet. We’re pleasantly surprised by the two-tone paint as well. More customizers should learn to avoid the temptation to cover their creations in purple flames and airbrushed wizards battling grizzly bears.
