Spy photos: BMW K46

The eds at Motociclismo.es have photos of what they claim is a new superbike from BMW. According to the Spanish site, it’s codenamed K46 and has a 1000+ cc inline-four making something in the region of 190bhp. They note that the engine is sloped extremely forward, like the current K1200S. And that it’s small enough to fit inside the R6 fairing, which, if the capacity is accurate, is quite an achievement. The K46 could be the first BMW to directly challenge the Japanese on their home turf. If it’s to succeed, it needs to be the best bike the company has ever made.
