HS500sa could lead to single-cylinder Subaru
If today is the era of vastly over-powered, ridiculously fast sportsbikes, could tomorrow bring the return of the low-power, low-capacity, challenging-to-ride machines? We hope it will. This Chinese-made HS500sa comes with a Fuji Heavy Industries 499cc single making 50bhp and 33 lb/ft of torque. You’ve seen the engine before in Polaris quads. FHI owns Subaru, so there's speculation this could be marketed under that marque. While we’d like to see something less generic looking, this could be a step in the right direction.
