Matra MS-1 to combine human, electric power

We’ve always been fascinated by the moped concept. Combining human and mechanical motivation to increase economy just makes sense. But until now something’s been missing, and the Matra’s electric motor just might be it. The motor won’t emit any pollution, while a combination of pedal power and regenerative braking can recharge the rear-mounted battery pack. Think Prius Hybrid, but instead of a dirty gasoline engine, it has your thighs.
